Out-of-Body, Bizarro
Light Body
We haven’t practiced having out of body experiences in a couple weeks, due to being busy.
My wife wanted to try again, so we set an alarm for 4am, stayed awake for about 15 minutes, then went back to bed to meditate.
I meditated on my back until 5am, then rolled over.
I have this technique down to a science – I can get out of body very reliably. After rolling over, I focus more on putting my body to sleep.
I have learned to stay aware while my body falls asleep. In the past, I incorrectly thought my body was falling asleep during progressive relaxation, but I now know that progressive relaxation typically just relaxes my body.
Falling asleep feels distinctly different.
It is not something I can control, I mostly just have to wait patiently. Eventually, without a break in consciousness, I feel a release as my body’s muscles relax completely. The transition itself is quick, but it can take a few tries to build up to it, sort of like being on the verge of sneezing.
This time, once my body fell asleep, I noticed that the vibrations were close, so I focused on them and drew them in.
I didn’t fight them, in fact, I did the opposite – I embraced them, and tried to experience them as fully as possible. I synchronized myself to them.
I felt the vibrations travel around the crown of my head, and then towards the back of my head. After a minute or so they faded out.
I moved towards the center of the bedroom and stood up. My vision came online, and was very clear – more clear than my physical vision.
I looked up at my hands in the dark. My veins were yellow/gold light. I thought that was awesome and exclaimed, “So I do have a light body!”
I didn’t really have a plan going into this (in fact, I wasn’t sure I would get out, because my motivation was pretty low). So I walked down the hallway to my sensor setup.
I tried to read the random letters on the screen, but they were blurred out. I saw some numbers in the 70’s counting down (78… 77… 76…), which confused me, because the timestamp on my laptop counts the seconds, up to 59, then back to 00.
I looked at the LED lights, and they were all dark, except the right-most ultraviolet LED (365nm), which had a slight glow to it.
I decided to go outside. This is typically when things get whacky, and today was no different. I call this the bizarro reality.
I phased through the door, and my vision went black for a moment. When it came back, I was in a yard, but not our yard.
There was a helicopter flying overhead, and out of curiousity, I shot some yellow/gold light at it from my arms… this caused the helicopter to crash in a violent explosion. Oops.
A drone came out, looking at the debris, and I followed it. I found two people hanging out nearby. They were friendly, and let me hang out with them for a little bit.
One of them was telling me about how he is only allowed in heaven roughly one week every 6-8 weeks, and he needs to practice the dharma in order to advance. The other person was mostly quiet, and played with his drone.
Then I woke up in bed.
