Out-of-Body
Stuck In Body Again
I typically nap after lunch on days that I don’t work.
I’ve been trying to leave my body during these shorter naps, and finally had limited success today.
Unfortunately, I was stuck in body during the experience, just like before.
I was looking out of my physical eyes – I think – except I could see my individual eyelashes in focus, along with everything else.
I reached up with my non-physical arms and played with touching my face. I picked my nose, poked my cheeks, flicked my non-physical fingers across my lips, etc.
I tried to exit my body over and over but was stuck.
I tried closing my eyes, and started to sink into a dream, so opened my eyes back up.
I grabbed my non-physical legs, and stretched them up into the air. I scrunched them down in a weird position. I tried stretching my arms out further than normal, but couldn’t.
I did see my non-physical fingers at one point. They were nearly clear, but refracted the light slightly, like a clear glass bottle.
I didn’t really know what else to do, and ended the experience.
I don’t know why I get stuck like this sometimes. I have two theories:
- If my physical eyes were open, then perhaps it was somehow keeping me locked in body. However, I’m not sure if I was seeing out of my physical eyes or not, because I saw my eyelashes in perfect focus, and I saw my non-physical finger at one point.
- Perhaps I don’t get deep enough sleep to leave my body fully during a short nap? Not sure.
I wish I would have had a recording of my face during the experience. I might try that next time.
